About Me

I currently live in Brooklyn, NY (moved here in 2015)  but I lived in the Los Angeles area for most of my life.  I am Argentine and have 3 amazing children (now 4, since my son is married!)

I made my first quilt when I was expecting my first child, but I've been sewing (hand, machine, embroidery)  since I was about 10 years old.

I enjoy quilting because of the sisterhood - I LOVE my quilting friends.  I enjoy gathering around fabric and thread to chat about projects and those honest moments that grow out of spending time together, where camaraderie becomes friendship, and trust allows us to share our triumphs and challenges.  These women are my tribe and I treasure them.

I lean unapologetically left in my politics - I'm a liberal.  I support policies of inclusion, and recognize my privilege as a white, cis-gendered, middle-class person in America.  That said, I also recognize the ways I am dismissed as a woman, as a Latina, as a Jew, and lately as an 'elitist'.  I can hold these disparate thoughts in my head at the same time.  I'm a sesquipedalian; I like big words and I use them.  I am so proud of the grand experiment that is Democracy in the United States; however I think we can do better to truly achieve "Liberty and Justice For All".
